At The Inn at Quail Haven, Fridays have become something residents eagerly anticipate thanks to Life Enrichment Director Amy Kirk and her creative Holiday Friday celebrations. Each week, Amy researches the quirky, fun, and meaningful holidays that fall on Friday and finds ways to bring them to life for residents.

Over the years, residents have enjoyed everything from National Pickle Day and National Bologna Day to National Hug a Bear Day, when they posed for photos with a beloved Pooh Bear. On National Bartender Day, residents gathered to enjoy festive mocktails, while Law Enforcement Appreciation Day brought local police officers to the community to share donuts, conversation, and appreciation with residents.

The weekly celebrations have become a favorite tradition because they offer something for everyone. Both long term care and rehabilitation residents are encouraged to participate, creating opportunities for laughter, connection, and shared experiences. As residents often say, they never know what Amy will come up with next, and that is part of the fun.
