Learning One Great Receipe at a Time

At Quail Haven, residents enjoy more than great meals. They also get a behind the scenes look at how some of their favorite dishes are created through the community’s monthly Teaching Kitchen program.

Led by members of the dining team, each session features a popular recipe prepared right before residents’ eyes. The team provides everything needed, including ingredients, recipes, cooking tips, and step-by-step instructions. Residents learn about preparation techniques, ingredient selection, and the special touches that make each recipe memorable.

Questions are encouraged during the demonstration, and residents often share their own cooking memories and favorite recipes.

The best part comes at the end when everyone gets to sample the finished creation.
